Hospitalization Information

Hospitalization Procedure

Please fill in the required information on the “Hospitalization Application Form” given to you by the applicable outpatient department and stamp it prior to coming to the hospital.
After completing the procedure at the #10 hospitalization reception desk on the day of your admittance, go to the applicable outpatient department.

Required Items for Hospitalization Procedure

  • Health insurance card
  • Medical care certificate or ticket
*If you lose your health insurance card or there are any changes to the information on it during your hospitalization, notify the staff at the #10 hospitalization reception desk immediately.

Individual Room Information

  • At this hospital, individual rooms are available to provide a special recuperation environment for patients.
  • A room fee applies as an additional charge for patients staying in these individual rooms. If you would like to request one, please notify your attending nurse.
  • Room fees for individual rooms are calculated per actual day used. As an example, you would be charged for three days if the length of your stay was two nights and three days.
  • Individual rooms may not be available in some cases.

Consultation Room

Social workers and nurses are available for consultations with patients and their families related to their illness (such as medical care costs and daily life concerns after discharge).

The others

Please use the following hours of operation for the store and barbershop.

  • Store "Family Mart"
    Opening hours : 7:00 - 21:00
  • Hairdressing (on-site)
    Open every Monday : 9:30 - 17:00
    ( By appointment only: application form for haircut is available in the hospital ward. )

Discharge Information

A nurse will carry out this procedure with the approval of a doctor.
For questions about your treatment after being discharged, please ask a doctor or nurse.

Hospitalization Expenses

The cost is the sum total of your copayment, which depends on the type of medical insurance you have, and meal costs. For information about about your copayment (ratio), check your medical insurance card, medical treatment certificate, or medical treatment ticket.

Meal charges

  • 460 yen for standard meals (Patients with designated intractable diseases, etc.: 260yen )
  • Low-income individuals (II) ( Municipal tax-exempt households, etc. )
    Hospitalization up to 90 days : 210 yen
    Hospitalization after 90 days : 160 yen
  • Low-income individuals (I) (70 or older only ) (Noncontributory old-age pension recipients ) : 100 yen

Payment Information

Payment methods at discharge

Please pay the fees for your hospitalization to the day of your discharge.

Payment methods during hospitalization

  1. Once per month (around the 10th starting from the month after hospitalization), you will be given medical fee information in the ward.
  2. Please complete your payment at the automated payment machine using your patient card. Payments can be made with cash, credit cards, or debit cards (bank cards).
*Since there are usually a large number of patients in the morning hours for outpatient treatment, please complete your payment at other times when it is not so crowded.

Visitations

We ask all visitors to first pick up a visitor's card at the following reception area:

  • Please refrain from talking loudly in the hospital room, as it may disturb the other patients (please go to the cafeteria ward instead).
  • Please refrain from visiting in large groups as it may interfere with the medical treatment and peaceful recuperation of the other patients. To prevent infection, children under three years old are not allowed to visit, except for special cases.
  • Please refrain from visiting outside the designated hours. If you must do so due to unavoidable circumstances, please inform a nurse.
  • Please note that we may not allow visitations or limit the visitation time depending on the patient's medical condition.
  • We ask all visitors to refrain from eating or drinking in the hospital room to maintain hygiene. Please consume your food/drinks in the cafeteria ward instead.
